New Delhi | Bollywood actor and style icon Sonam Kapoor shared a nostalgic moment on Instagram, looking back at the day she got engaged to her husband, entrepreneur Anand Ahuja, in New York. The actress posted a heartfelt throwback photo, calling it one of the most cherished memories of her life.
In her post, Sonam wrote, “Remembering the day eight years ago when I got engaged to the love of my life in New York City. I love you, @anandahuja.” The picture captures the moment Anand proposed, marking the beginning of their journey together.

After years of dating, the couple tied the knot in a grand Mumbai ceremony in May 2018. They welcomed their first child, a son named Vayu, in August 2022. Recently, Sonam hinted that she is ready to embrace motherhood again.
The actress also posted a striking image on Instagram wearing a vibrant hot-pink wool suit, subtly cradling her baby bump. She captioned the picture simply as “MOTHER.”

Sonam was last seen in the 2023 crime thriller Blind, directed by Shome Makhija. The film, a remake of the 2011 Korean movie, features her as a visually impaired cop pursuing a serial killer, with Purab Kohli, Vinay Pathak and Lillete Dubey in supporting roles.
Her long-pending project Battle for Bittora, based on Anuja Chauhan’s novel and produced by her sister Rhea Kapoor, remains on hold.
Daughter of veteran actor Anil Kapoor, Sonam began her career as an assistant director on Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s Black (2005) before making her acting debut in Saawariya (2007). Over the years, she has appeared in acclaimed films like Neerja, Sanju, Bhaag Milkha Bhaag, and Veere Di Wedding, carving a niche for herself as both a performer and fashion trendsetter.
